About Me

With 30 years of experience, I am a Brooklyn-based licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in psychotherapy for couples, families, individuals, tweens, and teens. My approach is rooted in compassion, clinical expertise, and a commitment to individualized care. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, where a strong therapeutic relationship can foster meaningful growth, healing, and transformation.

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from New York University and completed the Post-Master’s Clinical Externship Program in family and couples therapy at the Ackerman Institute for the Family. My specialized training allows me to assess complex relational dynamics and implement effective treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.

A Strong Foundation in Clinical Practice and Supervision

In addition to my private practice, I have worked extensively in community mental health, providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds across New York City.

As a dedicated mentor and educator, I supervise graduate students and practicing therapists, ensuring that the next generation of clinicians continues to provide compassionate, high-quality care.

I have also served as both a clinician and supervisor at the Children's Aid Society's Alternative to Court Program, where I provided crisis intervention and assessments for teens and their families.

An Integrative Approach to Therapy

My work draws from a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including:

Psychodynamic Therapy

Exploring unconscious patterns that shape thoughts, emotions, and relationships.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

Strengthening emotional bonds in relationships, grounded in attachment theory.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Cultivating awareness and emotional regulation.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) & Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

Developing practical coping skills for emotional challenges.

Through this integrative approach, I help my patients navigate life’s challenges, build stronger relationships, and create lasting change.
